Supporting the Andson Foundation

October 23, 2016

“Education then, beyond all other devices of human origin, is the great equalizer of the conditions of men, the balance-wheel of the social machinery.” — Horace Mann

This quote, from American politician and educational reformer Horance Mann, is one in which I truly believe. By educating, we lift people up, and bring them onto a level playing field where they can make the best of themselves. That is why I truly believe in the work the Andson Foundation is doing for children and young adults in Nevada.

Andson is a non-profit educational group offering programs in both academic learning and financial mentoring to low-income children of all ages. They make it easy for kids to access these services by going to them at schools, in libraries, or during club meetings. Andson's mission is "to educate, inform, and inspire youth and young adults by delivering innovative programs in academics, financial literacy, and mentoring." This goal is based on the belief, which I share of course, that delivering this support empower students to achieve their potential and reach a promising future.

As a non-profit, Andson relies on help from partner organizations and individuals who share its vision. I have recently become more involved personally with this amazing organization, and would love to hear ideas from anyone out there who may have thoughts on how to further improve the education and financial literacy of children in Nevada and around the U.S. If you do have thoughts on this issue, please click here to email and share!

Of course you can also get involved directly with Andson, whether through donation, volunteering, or a number of other avenues. To learn more about the organization and how to join its cause, visit http://www.andson.org/.
